building on a solid foundation

After spending the day in hospital with my eldest son for his routine infusion for Crohn's disease. I find out (via future neighbours) that we have a slab!
I was pretty annoyed at MJH for not telling me when that was going to happen, as I specifically asked them to let me know and I was told they would be giving me regular progress updates.
I really wanted to be there when they did it and even get the boys to do hand prints in the garage floor if it was allowed.

Oh well. It's still all exciting news and it's feeling so real now. I can't actually get my head around the fact that's it's happening, it all seems very surreal.

Our lovely future neighbours sent me some pics of the form work and the slab today, which was very nice of them. If they had not informed me of the progress who knows when MJH would be letting us know?

Anyway it looks like a good flat strong foundation for us to build our home on!

The Wise and Foolish Builders
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” Luke 6:46-49

  1. Fabulous!

The slab is so exciting! It's so good to be able to see how it fits on the block.

I'm sure you would have found out from your builder pretty soon - I think our builder emailed us our invoice for the slab before the last drip of concrete was poured from the truck ;-)

  2. Thanks! But still haven't received any messages from MJH.
I complained to our CLO about the lack of communication last week and she apologised and said they will be on top of it from now on. I won't hold my breath. Thankfully I have the forum with willing neighbours to keep me updated :)
